CRM Enhancement: Search for Contacts by Date Range

in We are happy to announce that we’ve recently released an enhancement to our already powerful contact management search features within ilinkONE Version 8. Customers can now search for contacts by filtering user-defined fields for specific date ranges.
How does this work?
Users of ilinkONE Version 8 have the ability to create their own user-defined contact fields. These are used to store various data fields and types that are meaningful to each specific customer but that do not come by default within our software.
Previously, users could search for specific values (i.e. give me everyone that has a value for one specific date) or simply on whether a contact has data in that field. This most recent enhancement of allowing users to search by entering a date range absolutely provides more flexibility.
No doubt, this feature will open up opportunities for solutions based on the Date-related data that users have within our system — perhaps to send messages (via email, SMS/Text, print) based on a Birthday, an Anniversary date, a Registration date, and more.

Tags Enhancements for QReate & Track: Organizing Your QR Codes
We are happy to share the news that we will soon be releasing enhancements to our QR Code management system – QReate & Track.
To help support our growing community of QReate & Track customers, we are releasing enhancements that will help users better organize, manage, and report on the QR Codes that they create and track.
Here are a few of the features that will be included in this upcoming release:
- Folder Management: Customers will be able to create and manage folders to better organize and store their QR Codes. For example, folders could be used to describe campaigns, product types, and more.
- QR Code Folder Assignment: Customers will have access to new fields that allow them to assign new QR Codes and existing QR Codes to multiple folders.
- Cleaner Navigation: With the growing popularity of QR Codes, our customers have been creating them more frequently than ever before. Thus, users now have the ability to access QR Codes via the Collapsable/Expandable folders, as opposed to searching a long list of each code on the left-navigation menu.
- Trash Feature: For various reasons, users may want to inactivate or remove a QR Code after a period of time. These codes will now be displayed in the Trash folder to keep them out-of-sight by default.
We have already received some positive feedback from customers regarding these features. All users will have access to them by the middle of next week.

One Part Looks Like Another

We recently released a new feature to our ilinkONE Version 8 software that should help to put a little smile on the personnel in your warehouse.
In our Warehouse Management module, administrators now have access to a button that allows them to look up an existing part, and “Save As New”. This should help to reduce the data entry time required when parts are being entered into the system manually.
For example, let’s say that your wonderful (:-)) marketing team has created 6 new white papers. To enter them into the Inventory system, you’ll need to define fields such as Code, Name, Description, Group, Type, Unit of Measure, etc.
While fields such as Code, Name, and Description will vary from part to part, there’s certainly a chance that the majority of your other fields will have the same values as each other (i.e. those 6 parts will all be assigned to the “White Papers” part group).
ilinkONE Version 8 now allows users to enter the full values for the first part… Then, they can simply use the “Save As New Part” button to copy over its values to a new record, and enter whatever unique values are necessary.
“Cool” Works For Me
I’m starting off my day with this saying: “My job is cool”.
Why?
So in two days I have heard the word “cool” more than a few times… And the words did not come out of the mouths of 60′s and 70′s babes, if you know what I mean. And the times I did hear the word, it stuck.

Wednesday, during the @interlinkONE webinar on CRM/Sales module of the ilinkONEV8 app on demand, @JasonPinto said “maybe cool is not the right word but it applies here”. He goes on and says “using this feature is pretty ‘cool’ “. I laughed and thought to myself, yeah that feature of the application and its use is pretty “cool”. This morning I read an email about how the @interlinkONE techies added flyaway drop downs and other “cool” things to the start page of our application. The writer of the email said: “We can’t ignore this – this stuff is cool”. I thought to myself, yes, the stuff is cool and most importantly it helps our users!
And then it hit me – that’s it! The word of the week is “cool”. I must blog about it.
So in closing…
- My job is “cool”.
- I get to work with really “cool” people.
- I hope you have a “cool” day.
