Telling Your Story with a Multi-Channel Approach: Content Marketing World 2012
I’m quite excited to share news that I’ll be speaking at Content Marketing World 2012! Here is an article that I’ve written to tease my presentation.
I love marketing.
As a result, I often get excited about new channels and technologies that appear. Over the past few years, this has included such things as QR Codes, Near Field Communication (NFC), and of course various social networks. Perhaps you also have the tendency to get excited about new channels and opportunities that arise!
However, one of the biggest things that I’ve learned throughout my business career has been this — you can never rely solely on one channel to get the job done! No matter how buzz a channel or technology may come up, the best way to effectively reach your audience is through an integrated, multi-channel effort.
In today’s world, it may seem harder than ever to stand out and get noticed. But during my presentation at Content Marketing World, titled “Expand the Reach of Your Story with Multi-Channel Marketing”, I will demonstrate how you can effectively use a mix of traditional and newer marketing channels to tell your brand’s story more effectively than ever before!

Free Educational Sessions at Graph Expo

There’s been a lot of event-related news this week on the blog, I know! For those not attending the conferences in Chicago over the next few days, I do apologize.
But for those that are attending Graph Expo, I wanted to share this news with you.
We are happy to announce that we will delivering two FREE(!!!) presentations at Graph Expo this year. They will both take place inside of the Show Theater in the Marketing Pavilion. If you have an attendee badge for the conference, you can absolutely attend these sessions.

This presentation will be delivered on Sunday, September 11th, at 1:00-1:30.
During this session, I’ll be striving to provide tips, best practices, and inspiration on how print can be integrated with channels such as:

How to Use Social Networks to Help Grow Your Business
This presentation will be delivered on Monday, September 12th, 11:00am – 11:30.
John Foley, Jr., CEO of Grow Socially and interlinkONE will be delivering this session.
He will provide key strategies and takeaways for companies that are looking to use social networks such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google+, and more to better serve their customers and reach new prospects.
CEO John Foley Wins the L.U. “Luke” Kaiser Educational Award
On behalf of all of the employees at interlinkONE, we would like to send a special shout of congratulations to our CEO, John Foley, Jr.
At the 2011 MFSA Annual Conference, John received the L.U. “Luke” Kaiser Educational Award.
Here is a description of the award from the MFSA website:
This award is given in the name of Luke Kaiser, a true industry pioneer, who founded the Premier Company, Houston, Texas. Mr. Kaiser was a great believer in the value of education as evidenced by his membership in 12 industry trade associations. The Kaiser award, established in 1978, is given to that person in MFSA who has contributed the most to the advancement of betterment of education pertaining to our industry. It may also be given to a student who attended one of MFSA’s technical training seminars, and, as a consequence, exhibits a high degree of competence.
A number of pictures and videos were taken at the Conference during the Awards gala. There is even a rumor that John’s acceptance speech is on video! If that turns out to be true and we receive permission to post it, we promise that we will share it with you.

Job Shadow Day at interlinkONE with Local Students
Over the past few years, interlinkONE has participated in a Job Shadow Day program with a local high school.
Well, we are in a new year, and today is the day for 2010!
Students from the high school will spend the majority of the day here at the interlinkONE offices. They’ll have the opportunity to tour the building, and meet employees from all of our departments — from the sales team to HR to the programmers and developers.
The students will primarily be working side-by-side with our marketing team. We certainly are excited to share with them what we do. We plan on showing them various aspects from our normal workday — from brainstorming sessions, to sending out a newsletter, to checking reports to see which marketing channels are working.
But here’s one thing that we’re truly excited about — learning from them. We always gain valuable insight from these events. We’ll find out what technologies excite them – whether it’s a social media channel, mobile marketing, or something else that may not be high on our radar yet. We’ll also work with them to see how marketing channels such as print, email, and advertisements make an impact on their lives.
It should be an exciting day. Thank you to Wilmington High School for allowing our company the chance to be a part of this.
