Thoughts from Print ’09
Well, Day 5 of the 6-day event known as Print ’09 has just passed.
Without a doubt, there will be many articles and blog posts like this one of people offering their opinion of the show — of the booths and of the traffic.
From the vendor perspective, I truly believe the common them will be that in regards to traffic, it has been quality over quantity.
Now, of course, there are many great companies who just couldn’t make it to the show, for some very valid reasons.
But the bottom line is, nearly every discussion that we have had at the interlinkONE booth has been marketing-focused. We’ve talked to a ton of service providers who are either:
- Looking for a software solution that will help them offer marketing services
- Looking for system to help them integrate their marketing services, rather than using multiple applications.
In regards to the second camp, a lot of people we’ve talked to have invested in one solution to do email efforts…. Another to do Personalized URLs… another to manage their storefronts… and another to help with their warehouse and inventory management needs.
Well, those packages may have helped them extend the services they can offer, but it greatly increases the time and resources needed to show results to customers.
Excess time and energy is spent pulling data from the email system…. And then the purl system….Then, the service provider needs to compile the data, and try to present the results to their customers.
With an integrated marketing solution like interinkONE, this obstacle is eliminated. All marketing efforts are managed, executed, and measured in one system. Responses are fed into the same centralized database that also holds the orders and inventory.
