How ilink.me Helped Me Plan An Event
On November 21st, I celebrated my 21st birthday (if you forgot to send Congratulations, don’t worry, I still love you). Most of my friends are scattered througout different states, schools, or they just work odd hours – thus, it’s hard for me to stay in contact with everyone easily through traditional methods. However, social media tools such as Facebook and ilink.me (an interlinkONE product) help make the communication possible.
The first step was creating an event in Facebook:

Initially, I had three Google Maps links – however, they were all very long URLs. This caused them to break incorrectly online, and they were too big to send out as a text message.
I utilized ilink.me to generate shortened URLs that were also customized. I gave each URL an alias – this helped people to know which map the link would bring up. (for example, directions to the restaurant, or to the parking lot, or the (ahem) establishment.
In ilink.me, I turned on email notifications on so that I was aware when people clicked the links from Facebook.

I later checked on the reports in ilink.me to see which links were being clicked – as well as when they were clicking them.

In the end, social media tools enabled me to plan and organize an event that went off quite smoothly. Yes, I had a lot of fun.
If you are planning an event that utilizes social media sites, please feel free to give ilink.me a try… It’s free and easy to use! http://ilink.me

Getting Started with QR Codes

QR Codes make it easy for people to jump from printed collateral to the web.
With their phone (or another device), people can access the information they need simply by pointing at the QR Code. They may be directed to a video, a web site, or some other media.
By offering QR Codes to your target audience, you make it easy for them to access content.
Well, we would like to make it as easy as possible for you to start producing QR Codes — and measuring their effectiveness.
Here is how easy it is to get started:
- Go to QReateAndTrack.com
- Click the Pricing and Signup button
- Choose the plan that meets your needs
Once you have become a registered user of QReate & Track, you will have access to a number of features:
- Generate QR Codes for websites
- Generate QR Codes for Email Addresses, Phone #’s, Business Cards, Events, and more..
- Access real-time reporting dashboards that display the effectiveness of your QR Codes
- Create QR Codes in Bulk — upload a list, and our system produces the codes for you
Curious as to how QR Codes can be used?
We have put up a number of videos and examples on the QReate & Track website that demonstrate some of the ways QR Codes can help connect people to information… Feel free to check them out here!
