The interlinkONE Blog
Marketing. Web-to-Print. Warehouse Management.
Tell me when I am popular
One of the main modules within our marketing software solution is “ilinkORDERS“.
Quite simply, that module allows companies to set up online ordering storefronts and portals. From those sites, people can order merchandise, hardcopy literature, electronic fulfillment items, variable data pieces, marketing campaigns, digital assets and more.
Along with providing for an easy-to-use shopping interface, ilinkORDERS also has features that are designed to help out the company responsible for managing those orders.
Here is one of the reporting charts on the ilinkORDERS Dashboard:

Orders by Month: From interlinkONE's Reporting Dashboards
This chart is designed to help you see in a matter of seconds what your busiest months are.
From there, you’ll have the opportunity to drill down further – to see the specific ordering activity in each month.
These reports may assist businesses in being better prepared for the future — when do they need additional staff?
It also may help them to see when things are going right? Did the marketing campaign at the end of April help to drive more orders in May?
This is just one example of a report that is available in interlinkONE’s software solution. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
Creating Videos: Just Be Yourself
Online video is absolutely one way to increase the success of a company’s marketing efforts.
There are many, many benefits – videos can expose your product or service to a lot of people and they can easily be shared.
Also, most of the major video websites are free (and easy!) to use.
However, some people are hesitating on publishing videos because of this: they do not believe they can make videos of high enough quality.
Well, that should not be an obstacle that stops you.
Sure, you don’t want every video that has your company’s name on it to look like it was influenced by the director of the Blair Witch Project. However, your videos do not need thousands of dollars or many hours to have a positive impact on their viewers.
Videos make it very hard for people to hide…. People can often tell if someone is disingenuous or even stretching the truth. They can tell if someone is using words that are not typically part of their vocabulary, or uncomfortable about what they are discussing.
Thus… focus on this when filming your next video:
- Talk about things that you are comfortable with!
- Pretend that you are having a conversation
- There’s nothing wrong with a couple of takes, but do not overdo it.
In a recent video that I recorded, I used the word “thus” at least 45 times. My boss started calling me Jason “Thus” Pinto. Yes, during the recording of that video, I was trying much too hard.
“Thus”, while every video we produce may not be perfect, the more we do, the better we’ll get. And if we keep producing quality content, we’ll greatly increase the chances that people will find out about us.

John Foley Jr. speaking on Multi-Channel Marketing at Sexton seminar
John Foley Jr., President and CEO of interlinkONE, inc. will be speaking at a seminar on Wednesday, November 11th on the subject of Multi-Channel Marketing.
The seminar is being hosted by Sexton Printing.
Here is an overview of what John will be discussing:
While the concept of multi-channel marketing is not new, it is evolving rapidly with changes in technology and purchasing behaviors. Multi-channel marketing is all about using various methods (channels) to get marketing messages to the people who matter most—your target audiences. It involves the integration of Websites, telephone, email, texting, trade shows, print, social media, and other available channels to present relevant messages. It’s all about sending the right people the right message using the right channel at the right time. By failing to maximize opportunities using multichannel marketing, your campaigns get out of step…causing lost customers and profits.

7 Ways Dating and Marketing Go Hand in Hand
Have you heard of the metaphor that marketing is like dating? Think about it. When you date someone, you try to look your best, present yourself well and make a good impression. You are trying to find that right fit, the person who will really click with you. In the end, you hope for a long, happy relationship.
In marketing, we present our products and services to our target market. We want to find the right people who will become our clients, who will be the right fit for a long-term relationship. Here are seven ways to reinterpret dating tactics for marketing:
1. You know who you want (your target market). You know you have to get their attention. You think about how you will get their attention, how you will keep their attention. Before you implement any kind of marketing campaign, you really have to think about how you will get your message in front of your dream market.
2. You need to be prepared to commit. Commit to a full-blown marketing plan. Design and implement a marketing campaign. This isn’t time to dip your toes in to test the waters. You need to be ready to really put yourself (your company) out there to prospects. Because if you dive right in without preparation and forethought, then you won’t know what to do when your prospects want to ove to the next level of your relationship.
3. Look your best! When you market your business to prospects, this is no time to use sloppy copy and junky graphics. Your marketing materials, your website…everything should be in tip-top shape so you can put your best foot forward.
4. Invest in your marketing campaigns and let your prospects know that you care. Prospects won’t care about marketing messages if you don’t care. Yes, you DO need to spend money on your campaign. Is “cheap” the impression you want to leave in your prospects’ minds?
5. Let them know you are interested…in many different ways. This is where a multi-touch campaign comes into play. Sure, an email is nice. But what about a quick text? How about a personalized url? Use different ways to communicate your messages to your prospects so things don’t get stale. Use a social approach. Use facebook or twitter to let them know more about you or your company.
6. Become a joiner. Join the groups and associations that will present the opportunities to meet your prospects. Yes, a lot of marketing can be done from the seclusion of your office, with the internet as your calling card; eventually, you need to get out there and meet people.
7. Don’t force chemistry. Sometimes, feelings take longer to develop. You can’t (and shouldn’t) rush a good thing. If the connection with your prospect seems to be on shaky ground, then take a step back and re-evaluate.
