Off the Beaten Path – Improving your web experience

AuthorPosted by Dateon Thursday, August 6, 2009 Timeat 5:47 PM Categoriesin Business

Hi Folks – So this note is a little different.  I’m sharing what I call a “productivity gainer” or “improving your web experience” to get more done in less time!  Or giving you more time in life by doing less?

The Problem:  I’m constantly opening up multiple browsers and adding tabs in one browser page to do teh everyday work I do.

The Thought:  Today I thought,  why can’t I make my home page open on startup and have all the sites I use be all preloaded and logged in (ok you have to click remember me)?

The Answer:   (FYI – Using Internet Explorer)

- Hit your home page button…… (hopefully you have your most important homepage setup first)
- Add a tab and go to your next favorite website you use all the time.
- After that page loads click the drop down next to the home icon to the right.
- Choose add or remove homepage
- Click add this page to your home page tabs.
- Hit Yes
- Repeat until all pages are added
- Done
- When you hit your home page button or on startup all of your sites are ready to go.
Productivity gained in a few clicks.
I hope you found this helpful.
- john

We recently added an enhancement to make it easier to export the user-defined fields that may be associated with your contact database.

Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Run a Contact Search
  2. On the Results page, click the “Customize” button

Check the "User Defined Contact Fields" option

Check the "User Defined Contact Fields" option

  3. Select the new “User-Defined Contact Fields” option… click Submit
  4. The Results page will refresh, and display columns for any user-defined fields that you may have.

The User-Defined Fields are displayed as columns with the rest of the contact data

The User-Defined Fields are displayed as columns with the rest of the contact data

We hope that that you find this feature helpful. Please let us know if you have any comments or questions.
